cursed gideon the ninth au: instead of going to canaan house everyone gets summons to dashcon 2014. to be clear here: everything with lyctorhood, the trials, the murders, etc is still very much happening. the pool scene happens in the ball pit.
- judith has a discourse blog where she posts twenty times a day arguing with teenage communists. marta is the historical military aesthetic poster mutual she thinks is too cool for her.
- coronabeth is a high-profile tumblr funnywoman whose selfies get thousands of reblogs. unbeknownst to anyone, ianthe secretly runs her account and ghostwrites her textposts. babs has a makeup blog and gets anon hate.
- isaac and jeannemary are anime bloggers. isaac writes naruto fanfic and jeannemary makes gifsets but constantly gets into drama because she can’t resist dunking. magnus and abigail follow them both, which they hate.
- abigail posts about serious research and writes very well-written, long posts debunking historical misinfo. magnus writes posts about his daily life that all begin with ‘hello, friends!’ and has 4 followers: abigail, isaac, jeannemary, and a porn bot.
- palamedes and camilla are the most tightly knit mutuals you have ever seen. they do absolute knockout text posts where pal provides the setup and cam knocks it out of the park with a four-word punchline. otherwise pal is a science blogger and cam posts pictures of swords.
- dulcie is pal and cam’s old livejournal friend who deleted a couple years back. now she’s on tumblr… but there’s something off about her. protesilaus_ebooks is a blog that posts nothing but reblogs every single one of her posts seconds after she makes it.
- silas is a tradcath. he writes long text post screeds about how we need to reject modernity and then spends the rest of the day arguing with other tradcaths about minor scriptural quibbles. he writes like one of those Tumblr Debate Club Guys. colum is his beleaguered mutual who lets him post from his blog when he hits post limit (remember post limit guys)
- harrow is an aesthetic blogger and the sole remaining moderator of the superpopular goth aesthetic Ninth House blog. the other three moderators all deleted after some big drama, but she keeps posting under their pseudonyms to make it seem like the blog is still going as usual. her mutual gideon, who just wants to post shonen anime gifsets and porn (remember porn guys) is unwillingly drawn into the Ninth House blog drama and goes to dashcon to help harrow continue the charade despite their long history of directing anon hate at each other
- the lyctors + john are all mods on an extremely big blog and they operate under pseudonyms. they are the ones who organized dashcon and also are treating it as an application for possible new mods (lyctors). they also have messy discourse in the same vein as the recent drama with the mods from @/yourfaveisunfuckable
