Aw thanks! Apologies in advance for the lyctor/cav art. 😛 Came up with the idea as a way to draw characters like Cristabel, A.L., etc. without having to commit too hard on designs and ended up self-inflicting feels lol.
Mercymorn is one of my favorites from HtN actually and I was also super struck by how she’s still so affected whenever Cristabel comes up. The unfathomably long time scale of the lyctors’ emotions and plans… it’s all ridiculously compelling. I want to know more of their stories so badly.

Mercymorn centered, focuses on the events leading up to Mercy and Augustine’s decision to betray god. There are some serious Mercymorn/Cristabel feels in the later chapters, as well as quotes that have ripped my heart out and stomped on it more than once.
I’m underselling it, I know, but believe me when I say that this is my all-time favourite fic and definitely worth a read.
