what i would love more than anything in the world would be to see harrow back in her own body but have pyrrha still be just as affectionate to her as she was to nona. can you even imagine how furious harrow would be. to wake up every morning and get called kiddie and cajoled into eating breakfast as pyrrha makes ass jokes.
[ID: John Gaius from The Locked Tomb, wearing his leaf and finger bone crown and white cloak, illuminated in the center of a shadowed crowd of his pre-Resurrection friends. The people in the crowd, clockwise starting from the top left, are: M (Mercymorn), C the nun (Cristabel), C (Cassiopeia) and N (Nigella, face not visible), P (Pyrrha) and G (Gideon, face not visible), and A (Augustine) and Alfred. Cyrus and Valancy seem to be in the background. End ID]
pyrrha could make it go to stations where they still played music
[i.d: a digital illustration of Nona and Pyrrha from Nona the Ninth. the drawing is done in mostly sepia tones. they are wearing baggy clothes and dancing around a kitchen, with musical notes floating around them. /end i.d.]
harrow the ninth is easily the funniest book ive read in years. its an exercise in madness and misery and confusion and you as the reader don’t know what’s happening until late in the story, and in that sense its so so intriguing to read, and of course the absence of a character from the narrative forming its shape is so cool. however the plot??? god and his besties fuck about on a space station. harrow is throwing up blood while ianthe watches hornily. nobody has a real plan to deal with the major threat aside from uhh defensive manoeuvres i guess. god and his besties have a threesome on the dinner table. one of them is trying to murder harrow at all times. everyone is sympathetically ignoring how harrow is completely deranged. harrow makes murder soup. what is happening in this book??????
tlt is like “step 1: the only way anyone knows how to love anyone else is by hurting them. step 2: if you try to kill the hurt, it will haunt you. if you try to kill the love, it will haunt you. maybe it would leave you alone if you were not a living person (boy do you wish you were not), but you are, so tough luck. step 3: (and unfortunately this part is vital) the love is worth it.”
