canatrix:

I think it would be very neat if the Ninth House had a tradition of lacemaking. After all, Harrow’s ceremonial clothes are often described as having lace, and lacemaking has historically been the domain of nunneries. Plus, I imagine the focus and rigor of bobbin lace would fit very well with making skeleton constructs, and be a good way for non-necromantic acolytes to practice devotion when not in prayer. So, imagine the Ninth House developing a huge (and widely profitable) tradition of intricate lacemaking for ceremonial garments, grave goods, and fine clothing for the rest of the Dominicus system.
