my problem is that while I was reading gideon the ninth in my head silas octakiseron was like an 80 year old very frail man with a white ponytail and now that I know he was supposed to be 16 I still can’t see him any differently
SIXTH HOUSE give it up for the sixth house. there’s nothing I love more than a kickass librarian who only wears monochrome colours. I too want to live on Planet Research. also the fact that it’s apparently not a very big planet and yet they’ve got a mysterious study that’s been sealed for years (as seen in the mysterious study of doctor sex) baffles me. why are they sealing all these rooms for years just to investigate them later? anyway sixth house. they love bureaucracy they call their parents by name and title they once had to summon a man’s spirit back after he died just to ask him where his marking was (and btw it was in the zip-up compartment of his documents bag) they don’t use green flimsy because it uses more stamper ink. when their house was threatened they literally just flew the whole thing away. these are my people

Talk about an under-rated quote. This made me laugh out loud the first time I read it. Finally Gideon has realized that Harrow has a thing about keeping her safe! and this is the way she chooses to phrase it! It’s so absurd. Also the image that comes to mind when I read this is just so fucking funny. I wish I could draw so that I could make this image reality but alas, it lives only in my head.
