Can we talk about the “he was kind to me” scene in gtn? The first time I read it it made me go feral

I think this is the moment I truly realized how absolutely no one had ever been kind to Gideon ever! In her whole childhood! The closest kindness got was aiglamene and that was making harrow promise to let her leave.

It would have been easier for Magnus not to be kind, not mean but distance. But he didn’t do that, he tried to meet Gideon where she was and still be kind.

You can also see a moment go off for Harrow too, I think a moment when she can actually sympathize with Gideon, or at least reflect
