harrow’s little alternate universe fantasies are so so important to me because it showed how important gideon is to harrow, how much harrow loves her. she’d love her if they’d still known each other all their lives but gideon is the necromancer and she’d love her on sight if gideon was the emperor’s heir (surprise!). but she’d also love her if gideon was just a normal girl who made coffee for a living. she’d love gideon no matter who she was, no matter how important she was, no matter her relationship to harrow. and gideon doesn’t know any of that.
