So, with the last book announcement I got back to wondering (and I hope you don't mind sating my curiosity) what the hell is a ninth? Is that a title? Why are there so many of them?
Lmaoo anon it’s really funny to me that you’re so curious about a book series you don’t actually wanna read. Of course I don’t mind though! There are nine “houses” that are actually nine planets, so the ninth refers to the ninth house. They’re also kinda themed, so you have for example the military house, the history nerd house, the hedonist cannibal house, religious nutjob house number one, religious nutjob house number 2… You know how it is
omg i never considered that the GTN universe takes place in our solar system. so wouldn’t the Ninth be Pluto in that sense, not Uranus or Venus (but I think it’d be so funny if Gideon found out her planet was called “Uranus” and then all the jokes about butts she would make)

Some scratchy designs for Harrowhark and Gideon bc I had a Need to draw them - I took some cues from the cover illustrations but decided to mostly go my own route just bc that was more fun! anyways The Locked Tomb Very Good and also book three not being out is doing harm to me personally
people are always like “gideon is gnc as fuck” and then forget that harrow has short hair and wears elaborate skull makeup constantly and robes that completely obscure her form so like she is performing SOMETHING but it ain’t femininity is all I’m saying
