hey did we ever figure out why tf harrow told herself to silence and/ or kill judith in that one letter. like what was that about. also, while weāre on the subject of letters, why did she tell herself to examine iantheās jaw and tongue to see if theyād been replaced???
oh i guess the thing about iantheās jaw was because she ensorcelled it before theĀ ābrain surgeryā so that ianthe couldnāt explain about gideonā¦Ā
but the only thing i can think of re: judith is that this would also prevent judith from talking about gideon? but then why did harrow tell herself to silence judith but not corona or camilla, etc??? is it because sheās a necromancer, someone who could figure out what harrow did to her brain??? iĀ feel like thatās overkill tho. like girl let me in on your thought process bc iāve got nothing
iām guessing she silenced Judith to keep her from talking about Gideon and although she wasnāt allowed to kill Corona due to Ianthe by the letter she wrote herself about Corona (pg 319) harrow was was allowed to āsilence herā just not cause her pain. with Camilla iām assuming harrow explained in the letter to her to not talk about it Gideon and that harrow (maybe uncharacteristically so tbh this might be farfetched) trusted that she wouldnāt? thereās a moment after harrow does the mouth fuse that Camilla goes āi warned them alreadyā which makes me feel a little more confident in that theory but it could totally turn out to be something completely different
I think thatās itāshe explained to Camilla in the letterāand I think that Harrow *would* trust Camilla here, at least with respect to Gideonās life. Even when Harrow regains her memory, her first thought re: Camilla is ā
āIt was a blow to her dignity all over again, her unconscious gracelessness to Camilla Hect; a girl whom, in reality, she should have taken by the hands and thanked profusely for every time she tried to save her cavalier.ā
Not that Harrow necessarily knows this going in, but Camilla is also very much like Harrow at this point, in that sheās going to her own extreme measures to save her necromancer, a fact that she must keep secret from those around her (probably not Judith and Corona, but definitely the BoE).Ā
