i don't like the series so take this with that in mind but from reading it i genuinely think harrianthe is endgame. it feels like it's way more attuned to the author's taste in romance and gideon spends 90% of the first two books either shuttled offscreen so harrow can do her own thing (gtn) or narrating harrow doing her own thing (htn) i have not read nona so i don't know if there's a higher percentage of harrowgideon romance arc but opening up the second book to find that harrow and ianthe are hatemakeouting not a few chapters in made me go oh okay THIS is endgame

I disagree but I do see what you mean. ianthe certainly thinks harrianthe is endgame because of the weird hate makeout. gideon probably thinks harrow/alecto is endgame. harrow spent most of her life believing an actual loving relationship was simply off the table for her and has spent the last six months essentially jonathan-harker-in-the-castleing on the astral plane with a weird old guy who’s a terrible hang, so that may or may not have changed. several other characters think it’s a core feature of harrow’s identity that she must be attracted to redheads or else how can it really be harrow.
