anyways i got gideon the ninth for christmas and read it in three (3) days. i am now impatiently waiting for harrow the ninth to drop on my doorstep from the poste (?)

in gtn, magnus is relating casual nepotism on behalf of his wife and says that he’s ‘cavalier primarried’ and gideon nav, lover of terrible puns, makes a ‘mental note to write down the joke so she could use it herself later’.
gideon. when would you use that joke. in what context. in which situation. when would you say you are cavalier primarried. forget ‘gideon’s dying words were wedding vows’, she was planning to presumably marry harrow and then make jokes about it in chapter eleven
