ngl i’m kind of obsessed with babs and the role he plays in the narrative. he’s the worst. he’s a poor little meow meow. the only point of his existence was to be used and consumed by the tridentarii. no one has ever loved him in his entire life and no one mourned his death. he’s haunting the narrative but nobody cares enough to notice.
man you can really tell the locked tomb fandom’s composition by the utter lack of horny palamedes content. I respect this deeply and wouldn’t change it for the world but my guy is out there looking like a milo atlantis expy being pedantic yet kind and having arrestingly beautiful eyes and you can just tell the fanartists only want him inasmuch as they want to put him in a jar with some leaves and a twig. jod bless
Still not over the time I saw someone reading Gideon the ninth and said (while they were reading the first section of Gideon trying to escape the Ninth) that the story seemed tailor made to transfer to a modern setting because it reminded them so much of someone trying to leave their small town.
And I don’t mean this in a bad way but I literally haven’t stopped thinking about that. Ah, yes. Gideon Nav, orphan in a dying small town trying desperately to join the Army so she can make something of her life and escape her highschool valedictorian nemesis. All good so far. And then she gets sent to a death game to appoint the new Supreme Court Justices. And dies. And then finds out her dad is George Washington and her mom did 9/11.
