okay also though…there’s something about the chain that is a mystery still. like there’s chain-related clues that are yet unrevealed. i’m sure of it. in almost EVERY one of harrow’s brain AUs, the chain is mentioned. not to mention “the favor of the chain” that Harrow owes Ianthe. I feel like there are some other mentions but BOTH my GtN and HtN books are lent out to friends rn so i can’t check :(
