actually though, I saw a post (by @das-gay, I believe) that described them that way (lock and key) and it’s so true and so insane that I haven’t seen them described in those terms more? but thinking about it in that way sets it up already to be so perfectly tragic. both of them born into a dynamic they can’t escape. if u are a lock and I am a key how could a love between us ever be unhaunted by the thing we were created to keep locked away? every person involved is a casualty of their circumstances
