uuuugh harrow and john’s relationship. you are cast in the role of what Your God has lost. he looks at you and sees his failings, whether it be to the people of his earth or to his love or both, but you are just a girl who is so broken and sad and who wants forgiveness. forgiveness from Him, Your God, Your Emperor, but he can never stop apologizing to you- apologizing to so much more than you, for great, gigantic, world-ending things you don’t even understand. he’s apologizing to entire civilizations but you are just a girl. and it’s horrible.
