The “you lied to us” scene from Gideon the Ninth: the quote in question is plastered over a painted wall of a lake scene, with willow trees and birds over water. The room would be in darkness, but doors have been opened, splashing golden light on the scene and highlighting Gideon, Harrow and Camilla’s shadows from the doorway. The light draws attention to Ianthe in the centre of the room, laid down nonchalantly on a pillow and covering her face with her hand as she giggles. Her dress, face and hair are splattered with blood - the substance can be seen across the hardwood floors, and on Naberius’ rapier in the foreground.
