so acutely invested in nona’s awareness and acceptance of her own ‘expiration date’ like… she knows her body isn’t hers, and instead of rebelling or trying to make a home in it she settles for liking it from a distance for as long as she gets to have it. she knows she’s not who the others are looking for/want, and instead of being hurt she still curiously lets them run tests to figure out who she should be. she gets given nearly zero information and she loves the others anyway and is so grateful for what she is being given despite knowing it will end - grateful to the point that she’s okay with it ending because it’d be greedy to feel otherwise
