I haven’t drawn the TLT DA AU in a while, but this has been sitting in my drafts for a few months so I’m setting it free:

Griddlehark Dragon Age AU

- Gideon is a child when her parents are killed during a failed revolt against the mad Nevarran king. Aiglamene takes her in and she’s raised as a servant in the Drearburh household, an ancient and powerful family of necromancers.

- Gideon escapes Dreahburh when she’s thirteen and joins the Seekers. She eventually becomes the Right Hand of the Divine.

- Harrow is a Mortalitasi and she belongs to one of the sects that control the Grand Necropolis

(- She has a strong personal interest in the bone creatures that are rumored to roam the uncharted parts of the Undercity)

- She has blood ties to the royal Nevarran family, but is more interested in necromancy than monarchy. Even so, as the King ages and his brother shows no interest in ruling, she’s become more of a viable candidate.

- Which means that Harrow’s had to start dealing with assassination attempts.

- Harrow’s done her best to manage her family’s political ties, but many of her connections have waned following their death. She attends the Conclave as a networking event and as a power grab.

- Gideon and Harrow meet for the first time in ten years. They instantly recognize each other but keep up the passive aggressive pretense of pretending that they’re strangers

- Gideon realizes that she’s in love when Haven is destroyed and Harrow might have died alone

- Harrow doesnt realize until after Here Lies The Abyss (when she gets her memories back and remembers that her gf Andraste didn’t personally deliver her from death at the Conclave).
