In the first drawing, Gideon embraces Harrow from behind and rests her head on her shoulder. Gideon has short messy orange hair and her face is not visible. Harrow has a buzz cut and stares into the middle distance, holding her arms out awkwardly. Artist's notes read: "Gideon, 16 years old, chronically cold and fatigued. Harrow, 15 years old, human furnace powered by Evil Thoughts." The second drawing is Harrow (17 years old) reclining on a couch. She is glaring at Gideon (18 years old), who is using Harrow's legs as a pillow and her cloak as a blanket while she sleeps. Gideon's mouth is open and she is drooling. She has more bone decorations than the first drawing. Harrow also now has gauged ears, with sharp chunks of bone stuck through. The third drawing is Harrow at 19 and Gideon at 20, both with longer hair and more bone accessories. Gideon has her eyes closed and she leans her head on Harrow's shoulder, her hand in the crook of Harrow's elbow. Harrow watches Gideon with a troubled expression.
