“This!” Gideon waved her hands around to encompass the entire room. “I’m done with this shit! I’m dead and you won’t even let me be dead! What’s the problem, Nonagesimus? Were you unsatisfied with not having my corpse to play with, so you decide to fuck around with my– with my soul instead?”

A flicker of guilt passed over Harrow’s face. She drew her legs up onto the couch, hugging her knees to her chest. Very quietly, she said, “That was not my intention.”
