design notes under the cut because i crammed a lot of little details into this one!
- the rug design at Harrow’s feet features little finger bones, the ninth house symbol, a lily to represent death and a chain-like pattern running on one side for Alecto
- flora symbolism: forget me nots to represent devotion, ivy representing immortality, wisteria for lost love and resilience, purple hyacinth for sorrow and a desire for forgiveness, poppies (in the distant field) for death
- pearls in place of bones for Harrow’s design.
- Harrow’s necklace is in a rosary style with the three beads per section
- a pomegranate for resurrection and reference to the myth of Persephone. and a skull beside it for fun
- the brooch on Gideon’s chest is a heart being pierced by a sword
- Gideon wears a claddagh ring facing inwards to show her heart belongs to another (Harrow)
