reading gideon the ninth is amazing these books have so much reread value and rlly need to be read multiple times for full appreciation

first time round i was seeing everything through gideon’s eyes, who has no fucking clue what’s going on, and that’s a whole reading experience. this time i’m reading it knowing all the lyctors by name, understanding the characters, finally piecing together what’s actually happening, and that’s a whole different reading experience

i’ll probably want to do a third read eventually just to properly look at the complex character dynamics
