photograph from the waist up of a person standing in cosplay. They have long red hair and are wearing a full face gas mask with a mirrored facepiece, an orange jumpsuit, black gloves, and metal dog tags on a chain. They are holding a cylindrical tank containing a baby wrapped in bloodied cloth. The figure is looking down at the baby in their arms.ALT
photograph of the same person as described before. Now, the cylindrical baby tank is slung over their back and their body is facing away as they look over their shoulder at the camera.ALT

“You sent me out there to kill a baby and open those doors. Whose baby didn’t matter on my end. Do you know, I gave that thing a nickname, my whole pregnancy? I used to call it Bomb.

Wake: me!

warning: do NOT read the locked tomb series by tamsyn muir. it is TOO GOOD and TOO FUN and it WILL RUIN your ability to enjoy any other book. you will spend the rest of your life yearning for Gideon Nav until the only thing left to do. is read homestuck.

foundational griddlehark dynamic is them treating each other not as people but as swords to fall on or lashes to bear. Harrow uses Gideon as her personal instrument of penance never paying mind to if Gideon would want that outside of Harrow’s own self flagellatory fantasies. Gideon can only conceptualize Harrow’s feelings for her via her own desire-to-be-used and inability to see herself as having any inherent value outside of that use, neither of which is actually rooted in what Harrow truly feels. neither of them even sees herself as a real person and by consequence they don’t know how to consider each other as fully formed people who have their own thoughts seperate from what they project outwards onto the other. send post.
