i know it’s very much taken for granted now but it’s still hilarious to me that gideon the ninth introduces you to the most miserable barren goth desolate skeleton planet in the world and you go. oh damn. guess this is what the world is like in this scifi story. and then the main characters get off the skeleton planet and the rest of the world is normal and everyone’s like, what the hell is up with these weird disturbing skeleton women. gross!
