Wow, it’s been a busy week for Team 8! Here’s what we did:
- Finished and posted the first flash.
- Posted the first panel update of Act 8 Act 1.

Finished version 2.2 of the written draft, so it’s presentable to team musicians and incoming team members in general.
- Adopted a new system that will allow musicians to contribute to the project more easily, and let those who want to avoid spoilers stay spoiler free.

Talked to Porrim-Maryam (who organized [S]uburbs) about maybe helping us with one of our later flash projects.
- Brought @austinado on board to help keep @act8officialteam updated.

Made our first open-access visual task thread on the forum, for some battle sprites that take place in the intermission, and progress is already being made.

Following today’s upd8, Act 8 will be taking a small break to focus on producing future content. Upd8s will resume on June 8th, with a mostly regular Wednesday and Saturday upd8 schedule after that.

Hi there, no problem! The music for [S]Start was an edit of Timeout graciously provided to us by psithurist/jo. We also have a credits page now, where you should be able to find anything that gets used in the flash, see our list of artists and writers, and more. I’ll have Blue add it to our links directory/FAQ.
Is any romance going to be included? Just curious! Like some Rosemary smooches being as how its canon? Light stuff of course. Also amazing job so far on this. I never really got to experience the whole 'upd8 waiting' because I joined the fandom really late. But I feel like im finally getting the full experience. So thank you guys a ton for this. <3 Do you guys also accept fanart if its made? Like would reblog it if tagged of a panel redraw?
We’re glad to give you some of that traditional upd8 experience, and we would love fanart! How about this; fanart fridays? If you and others post some specifically act 8 fanart to the tag, we’ll reblog them all once a week for as long as that’s a thing that makes sense to do.
And yes, light romance (alike to what is found in canon) is found in the act 8 script. Thanks for joining us on this wild ride.

If its not a big spoiler, are the dancestors going to be included in some way? Because honestly id love to know more about their game/past etc? More about their session and what all went wrong. Or just like when Meulin went deaf or when Kurloz sewed his mouth shut. We know the basic story, but we dont get the more in depth one. Honestly kudos to you guys for doing this
Without giving too much away, I will just say that Team 8 has not forgotten about the dancestors.
I love Act 8 so far. The art is great, of course, but the /writing/! It flows just like in canon, and it's so in-character - You all have really good grasps on the characters. (Or you're all secretly Andrew Hussie. Ya never know.)
This was so nice to read, and I’m sure all of the writers on the team will appreciate it ! One of the benefits of having a fairly large team here is that everyone has their personal favorite characters that they know inside out, and each person brings that expertise to the project.
Do we get Nepeta? How much Nepeta do we get? Is Nepeta alive again?
It’s a purrty good bet that there will be some Nepeta content in Act 8, which is all I will say on the matter :3c
Are there any plans to revitalize anything relating to Caliborn?
We have at least one dedicated Caliborn fan on Team 8, so I think it’s safe to say that as far as Act 8 is concerned we haven’t seen the last of this truculent green skull child.
Is gamzee going to come out of the fridge ever :o(
I’m not going to answer this explicitly, but I will say that there’s a larger than average number of cloun fans on this team ;o)
Ok I'm not entirely sure who exactly the sylph of rage girl is, I think she might be the representation of you guys? But I just want to say despite not knowing what exactly is up with her I already love her to pieces and can't wait to see more of her

Is there going to be an updated every week? And also can i draw fan art of the sylph girl? Cuz i think she looks pretty :]
