Yes, it’s supposed to be like that. Eventually the arrow under 28 will lead to act 3, and act 2 will be navigated exclusively via the photographs.
She was definitely a character I appreciated in the text for what she was. Is any writer truly able to resist the diabolical charm of a Serket? Already I can think of a few places in the upcoming story you might be excited for, without giving away too much. Here’s to the shenanigans surely to unfold.

The idea of Dad Crocker inexorably adopting every orphan he meets, regardless of personal history or species, is a beautiful one. Alas, I have no comment on whether or not it will come to pass.

The post-retcon timeline does have a surfeit of Nannasprites, if I recall correctly…

Under ideal circumstances, “liking” a character in this context means being familiar with their flaws as well as their strengths, knowing them at their worst but hoping to see them at their best. We’re fortunate to have multiple people on Team 8 who fill this role for Vriska, so I am hopeful that readers will feel like this is 100% Genuine Vriska, Accept No Su8stitutions ;;;;)

Generally speaking, Team Leader @gamzee does the backbone of the writing, but they team up with a variety of other writers to flesh out specific sections, or sometimes delegate the fleshing out of those sections entirely to other folks. Some people only ever help with one section, and some folks like @austinado are pretty regular co-writers.
I (Bluebird) tend to fly in toward the end to give feedback and suggest edits. Sometimes the editing team is big, and sometimes it’s just me and one or two other people.
For the recent Vriska content in particular, @gamzee wrote that themself :o)

This is one of those cursed tasks for me, where the more I promise to do it the longer it doesn’t happen, and something goes just wrong enough each time another team member tries to do it for me. The universe is clearly bullshitting me, so I’m going to reverse-psychology its ass by promising i will NEVER HAVE YOUTUBE VERSIONS OF ANY FLASH AVAILABLE, EVER, and then scrabbling to get as many done as I can while its not looking.

Don’t read stuff that hurts you, and I mean that, but I refuse to be scolded for writing the stories I need to write as a survivor. I’ll heal my way and I’ll write about my healing, about the healing of children, to reflect my own experiences with abuse and ptsd. It is unbelievably distressing and unfair to also be made responsible for your incompatible needs and interpretations. Both of our feelings are valid, but I will not accept coercion or heckling on this subject. This is a boundary I am placing as a survivor of CSA and partner abuse.

You can! In fact, this would be really cool, we love the idea of having Act 8 available in more than one language :o)
I think it’s easy for a character to come across as overpowered when they’re fighting people who don’t really want to hurt them, especially if they can harmlessly put people to sleep, while their opponents are stuck scrambling to figure out how to fight back in a non-injurious fashion. Especially if those characters weren’t expecting to suddenly have to fight an ally, and it’s already been a really, really long day.
We’ll have to wait and see~
