Feferi is such a great character, and has hardly any canon content, so it was nice to be able to expand on that a little bit. I’m glad that people have been so happy to see her again!

Oh my gosh.... That last conversation with Aradia and Tavros.... was SO GOOD!! ahhh the expressions and just??? what a wonderful and sweet conversation <3. Canon never had a whole lot of team charge interaction beyond the whole "make her pay" fiasco, so to see act 8 so perfectly deliver on that, just ahh <33 thank you, you just made my day! :") –– (oh and a side note, THANK YOU FOR FIXING GCATAVROSPRITES ALLERGIES, at least i can sleep well at night knowing he's not suffering anymore!)
We tried to write the scene without fixing Gcatavrosprite’s allergies, and it just felt unbearably cruel. He deserved to feel better.
I’m really glad that you and other folks enjoyed the Team Charge interactions! We’re proud of them, and it’s been a fun section to put together. A lot of us didn’t know just how badly we wanted to see Team Charge content until we started working on it.
I'm really impressed by how on-model everything is. Whoever you have working on the artwork, they're doing a fantastic job capturing Hussie's style.

We certainly hope so! Can’t promise that every character will get a significant amount of content, but we are definitely trying to fill in some gaps here.

So I absolutely adore your guys work on act 8 so far and im super happy about the closure everyone is getting, but I was wondering if nepeta and/or equius were gonna show up soonish? I just really wanna know theyre ok, and I saw nep on one of the newer updates but I cant help but worry ya kno? act 8 is brilliant and keep up the awesome, yea?

ok so im going to assume that, since you said we have to guess, we ARE going to find out what karkat was reminded of... i like the way you think (also i have 1 guess buts its mostly wishful thinking rip. act 8 is the only canon i need anymore)
I don’t want to overstate the significance of this mystery, but the clues are all already here. I mean it when I say I want to hear your guesses though, wishful thinking as they may or may not be. (And what do we know about wishes and dreams other than that they’re awesome, anyway.)

Hello all! There have long been complaints that the mibbit is a somewhat difficult way to chat with the team and other interested parties, and not everyone has a Skype account or likes to give out their contact info willy nilly. So one of our lovely team members made an Act 8 Discord server. In his own words, “For those of you wondering what Discord is, Discord is a free text and voice chat “For gamers” (it really isn’t).
So I'm guessing you guys are going to be continuing with your own story regardless of what new cannon stuff comes out? Or will you change some of the later stuff to adapt to new content?
We’re just going to keep on heading in our own direction :o) I suppose if any newly revealed information strikes us as thematically appropriate to include we might work it in somehow, but as things stand we are content to diverge from any canon content following Act 7.
Since the canon endings have been revealed... does it mean this is now an alternate timeline? O:
Pretty much! We always knew that there would some day be a canon Epilogue (which is still in the works, as far as I know), and that whatever we made was unlikely to slot neatly into place with that content. Act 8 was intended from day 1 to diverge from the canon timeline post-Act 7.
I think this feels in keeping with the Homestuck narrative being game-based. Every team making a fan continuation from Act 7 is just unlocking an alternate ending for us all :o)
i’ve wanted to draw something or act 8 or a while because it’s really good and i’d 11/10 recommend it to everyone who likes homestuck and wants more of it but i haven’t had the time…. until now! :D
