Homestuck Act 8

In the aftermath of Homestuck Act 7, fans are feeling a lot of things. Impressed by the dedication and technical skill required to transform a webcomic into the anime it was always meant to be. Bewildered by the open ending. A sense of loss at no longer having the silly MSPA face to keep us company in a perpetually open browser tab.

Some of us aren’t ready for the adventure to be over. We’re creeping through the eerie silence of this abandoned city, like urban wildlife emerging after the spontaneous disappearance of the human species. Our whiskers aquiver with excitement as our little feet go pap pap pap on the pavement, because where do we even start? There’s so much wonderful garbage to dig through!

It’s our city now.

Homestuck Act 8 is being brought to you by fans who just aren’t ready to say goodbye. the project is being spearheaded by Tumblr user @gamzee , and there has been an overwhelming response from creative talents volunteering to contribute to this effort. If you are part of this creative team, and wish to keep abreast of news and announcements, please follow @act8officialteam . There will be SPOILERS, so if you want to enjoy Act 8 as it unfolds, please only follow the @act8official account in order to preserve the mystery.

It’s been only days since Act 7 landed, but folks have been hard at work during this short time. Act 8 will consist of 8 parts, and the rough draft has already been written. Team member @skeledot has also written a song specifically for this project, which is just amazing! Thank you for your hard work, it is very much appreciated. A forum is being put together by @gamzee‘s childhood friend, Zyy, who will also be moderating it with assistance from myself (@bluebirdofgrumpiness). It should be up next week.

This project is moving fast! We tentatively expect the beginning of Act 8 to be released in May, and for it to be entirely completed within a year.
