I have a question. Why did you make solfef a moirallegiance? It was canonically a matespritship? Why do you allow solara to be both matespritship and moirallegiance?

I (gently!) ask if that is really a reasonable interpretation of the one scene they were all in.

And you hand out Gamzee a redemption ‘arc’ by means of making him cry a bunch in front of Calliope? Why does he get to have this but not others?

Whoof. Part of what makes that scene so hard for me to revisit (yes I Do hate it as it currently stands) is that those ugly, honest feelings I was so indulgent towards back then are all still here inside me. And I feel even less welcome to talk about them now, I feel brain ghost hussie himself bearing down over my shoulder. I’m not saying this is a great scenario for anybody– the opposite really– but I have been trying to pick at it for a while and just can’t. So I don’t know. Don’t expect me to defend it, I don’t want to fight.

What makes you any different from let’s say… Alternate Mewniverse? Can you honestly say that any part of this is somehow not a self-indulgent wish-fullfilment fantasy?

Nothing, no, and gotta say I don’t really worry about that. I don’t mean to sound snotty, I’m sorry that we don’t have much in common. But this may just be a case where I’m an utterly strange person by your assessment. (That’s fine, keeps me humble.)
