Isn’t that just a facet of a general tendency to re-frame old information in light of new discoveries? Like everything from science texts to plot twists tends to trigger that kind of reaction, at least for me. Doing that properly is, like, a basic part of learning, right? You’re just doing it more intensely with new information about yourself because, well, from your own perspective, you’re kind of a big deal.
