When they first met, Karkat was an edgy teenage runaway and had bumped into Gamzee on the streets. He felt sorry for the shabby looking boy and dragged him into a cafe for sustenance. Karkat eventually went home after this, but kept in touch with the strange older boy.
She was born into a well-to-do family in upstate New York, but left for Manhattan the moment she turned 18. She didn’t take a penny of her family’s fortune, determined to eke out her own living in the big city. She’s managed to do pretty well so far, juggling retail jobs while still taking night classes at a local college, and volunteering at charities on weekends. She is a very busy girl!
She met Sollux at a charity gala, and it was very nearly love at first sight. He asked her out for dinner the next day, and they’d been dating ever since.
About a year or so ago, when she was working at Urban Outfitters, she met a very awkward, but charmingly so bespectacled man. He stammeringly asked for her number, and she gave it to him after some thought, but she never heard from him after that. She thinks she sees him around sometimes on the streets, but he never approached her again…

it is very nervewracking to even talk to her sometimes because i have literally adored her art since i was in 6th grade and made her my goal to reach by the time i was her age. i am still not nearly good enough so when she approached me for an art trade i kind of just screamed inwardly forever and ever and ever…
she didn’t specify anything other than ‘Tavros’, so i kind of just went with it U u U i guess this is what a muchastuck Tav would look like :)
She is a graduate of Cornell University, with a major in history and a minor in linguistics. She interns at the American Museum of Natural History, working as an information desk attendant.
She had gone to school with Sollux, and although they were in different departments, her beauty caught his eye. They dated for the majority of the school years, until a mutual break up near graduation. They are on good terms and still keep in touch.
She met Equius and Nepeta in Central Park during a lunch break. The younger took to her immediately, but she wasn’t sure about the older man. He was more reticent, and kept having to excuse himself during the conversation. But she’s sure they’re nice people, after all, the one named Equius visits the museum a lot more now!
