In the leadup to today’s Flash update, [S] Terezi: Remem8er, it’s clear that (alive) Terezi’s letting go of (alive) Vriska. These are the two whose relationship should have been improved by all of the retcon shenanigans, yet here they are, drifting apart.
Elsewhere, (dead) Terezi (from the Game Over timeline) meets up with (dead) Vriska. These two followed the other leg in the retcon path: Terezi killed Vriska, and they both know it. Yet here they stand, able to forgive one another at long last. Taken all together, it’s a really sad, cathartic juxtaposition.
Oh yeah, the song’s pretty good too.
