I’m almost certain that was Troll Barkley. So here, in the middle of a long drought in the comic (and an even longer music drought), we have brand new music. It’s not official, granted, but it’s 63 tracks of Homestuck-inspired mayhem.

Like most of the volume compilations (and the other LOFAM albums), it covers everything. You’ve got your heavy metal (Sign of the Scorpion, INFIDELS!), quite a bit of jazz (Sketches in Black, Thermoporia), chiptune (OhGodBoss, Contention), classical (Garden of Eden, Dance of Viridian and Violet), and some clever novelty tunes (Sord……, Invertebrate). And that’s just the start. I didn’t expect this review to last all month, but there’s too much cool music to rush. It doesn’t have the monster hits that some of the official albums have, but this is a solid piece of work.

Once again, as an unofficial release, it’s available for free, and the entire album (one ZIP file, all in MP3 format) can be downloaded from skaia.net.
