The original cut of this song belongs in a 1930’s horror matinee, complete with chain-smoking organ player behind the stage (appropriate for fighting dead grandfathers).
This remix is a little less dated. The choice of instrumentation’s more varied, and the higher synth counter-melodies brighten the whole song up a bit. It’s more energetic than ominous.

Ah, the very first boss fight track (excluding the kids’ scuffles with their respective legal guardians and/or omnipotent devilbeast pets). I like the combination of slow, spooky ‘green slime ghost’ main melody and fast synth counter-beat. The squiggly, racing bit in the middle is a little off-putting, but it’s an otherwise fun mix.

I really like the contrast between the airy intro and the more lively body of the track. The guitar part’s clean and smooth as silk, and the accompanying flute part and percussion help to give this remix of Frost a unique turn.

A neo-gothic combination of growly, fuzzy electric guitar and arpeggio chiptune. The middle section’s a little tame, but I like the intro especially.
