The original cut of this song belongs in a 1930’s horror matinee, complete with chain-smoking organ player behind the stage (appropriate for fighting dead grandfathers).

This remix is a little less dated. The choice of instrumentation’s more varied, and the higher synth counter-melodies brighten the whole song up a bit. It’s more energetic than ominous.

Ah, the very first boss fight track (excluding the kids’ scuffles with their respective legal guardians and/or omnipotent devilbeast pets). I like the combination of slow, spooky ‘green slime ghost’ main melody and fast synth counter-beat. The squiggly, racing bit in the middle is a little off-putting, but it’s an otherwise fun mix.
