It’s funny how a soundtrack can affect a scene’s perception. The action in this part of the Flash (can I still call it a Flash?) isn’t so different from the prior part: kids bounce around in combat, while Lord English executes his classic ‘pound Trolls into the ground with your fists’ fighting technique.

Yet the music is darker, more ominous, and that casts a shadow on the whole section. Maybe the heroes will avoid destruction, but there’s no way they can truly win here. Not yet, anyways.

I’ve fawned over this song in the past, and I didn’t expect it to come up again, especially in the climactic part of one of the end-game Flashes. But all it took was those first three notes to clue me in on what was coming.

Favorite moment? Right after the Condesce finishes strangling her own heiress, she turns to the remaining kids, her glare cold with promise.
