thoughts regarding the extended zodiac

Astrology may be “bullshit” as we know it, but the things that make up astrological systems are all pure symbolism– artistic tools like anything else– and can work just fine in the right context.

Homestuck, Hiveswap, and Hauntswitch (collectively “HS”) is that context.

It does not mean “oh, WP just want to sell some shirts” is what is going on here. If it did, I’m pretty sure we would have gotten those shirts three years ago when the new signs were made.

What I’m trying to say here is, while this isn’t literally a Homestuck Update (part of the comic itself), this is still an HS worldbuilding update to read and explore how you want.

Think of it like a walkaround but entirely on a website. A walkaround where, as long as you know a character’s Aspect, or their Lunar Sway, or even just their birthday and some loose examples of their personality (as inferred from, say, conversations in a comic written years ago), you can learn more about them through understanding this system as the website lays it out.

There’s so much we can discover in the implications, even just from the Aspect descriptions and the fancy wheel design in the background.

Enjoy it.

okay so I am still working on the map of the Furthest Ring, that is still a thing that will exist, but I’ve not been focused on HS stuff lately and I feel bad so here’s something new, this is the dreambubbles of Openbound. It’s basically the official walkthrough maps but pieced together, and with much of the later maps physically behind the earlier bubbles. The meteor, coming around the end of the walkaround, is behind everything else.

I wanted to take a look at the setting of A6I3 in a way that I couldn’t before, if that makes sense? No map of the Furthest Ring will be spatially exact, after all. Any map is going to inherently rely on some degree of interpretation and experiment. A6I3 is as good a place as any to start trying to visualize macro.. location stuff.

I’m out of words.
