Okay. Okay. Deep breaths, DJay.
So I’m gonna re-catch up with Pesterquest soon. I did not “stay caught up” like I said I “probably” would last time. I instead cycled into some other obsessions (Finnegans Wake, Breath of the Wild, Shadow the Hedgehog for the gamecube). I had Reasons.
Immediately after writing that paragraph, I went and read all of Homestuck 2 so far. To catch up with that too. Dirk sinks deeper and deeper into the unfortunate throes of Behaving Like My Dad. ..he’s even got a four-letter name, and two of them are there and in the right place. Anyway. I am pleasantly surprised with how the spy-and-slapstick Candy-Earth shenanigans are the greatest thing ever. And I kinda got chills when the dead cherub (as Jade) first appeared. Story’s shaping up to be a goodie.
So what can people expect from Caliborns Wake in 2020? I do have a sort of plan this time. There might be some, like, legit tasty Homestuck meta for people to sink their teeth into. I won’t rule that out. But it’s not the crux of the plan. No, my plan has a wedge on it. A wedge shaped like cherubs in space. (..cherubim in space? Cherubim space? Ch. Cherubs. I’m going with ‘cherubs.’) And unlike certain other plans of mine, this one is made with a skillset I know very well.
No timeframe will be given, unless I manage to stock up enough content that I can do a tease-out distribution cycle. But Homestuck is what I’m feeling for this year.
