shocking breaking news: JEA on indefinite hiatus, IRL obligations suck, news at eleven

I’ve gotten several very very kind messages asking about the project in the past two months. Which is completely understandable. I know plenty of people follow this blog and not the individual creators. Totes fine.
I do not know if/when JEA can continue.
For myself, I have a full time job that dramatically limits my time (and spoons). For my dear art director, they have a career they have to focus on, which is to me utterly understandable.
It’s extremely disappointing to me personally because…. I know life getting in the way of hobbyist projects is a fact of life, but I was deeply excited for episodes two and three of JEA because…. man I have written for like a decade now and I think JEA’s concept and plan is some of the best shit I have ever thought up.
But I do not have the time nor team that can make the project happen, and I promise from the bottom of my heart, no one is more dismayed about that than me.
Maybe I will win the lottery in a week, and then I promise I would make this shit happen. But at present, capitalism stands in the way.
I’m deeply sorry for this news and I hope the situation changes in the future. But I fear by then, the irons will no longer be hot, and the audience for this project will not exist.
I hope for the best, but I know I have to tell y’all the truth. I hope you all can understand.
