If you aren’t caught up then following a blog like this has a decent spoiler liability. I can tag asks related to upd8’s as they happen. But how long after an upd8 do I stop considering it an upd8?

Gamzee set up their living place and provided food for them so that Caliborn could grow up and become Lord English. He was also the one that chained them to the sarswapagus
Since the troll's session was doomed since they didn't do the ecto biology then wouldn't it be the same for Dirk, Jake, Jane, and Roxy's session? Since John already made them.
No. The trolls session needed to be doomed and scratched so that the post-scratch trolls could exist and make the pre-scratch trolls so that they could play the game in the first place. Whereas John made the kids before hand so they were already made and can still play without having to worry about it.
Retcon is short for Retroactive Continuity. This is the process of changing facts that were already stated. John is going back and changing parts of the story that were told years ago. And the changes that he is having an effect on how the story will continue to be told, such as Vriska still being alive.
You know what ive noticed? Homestuck is extremely christmas. Ok so look: time players' associated colors are red: caliborn, dave, the megidos. Space players' is green: calliope, jade, the maryams. These are the only two aspect/color pairings: green and red. In addition, let's look at the timespace kids: jade and dave. Their lands are frost and FROGS and HEAT and clockwork. Frogs are associated with green and heat with red. Also, remember when dave and jade alchemized crappy xmas things together?
How did/do the mod(s) decide which characters to have tags about? I'm not asking for additional tags or anything cause adding Ancestors or something would be crazy cause that's an extra 12 tags not counting alternative names (Signless/Sufferer for example) and that's not even counting needing to go through I don't even know how many pages worth of content.
I dunno, I just tag whatever character the fact is about except if it’s an ancestor then I just tag it ancestor.

Hey, IIRC Liv Tyler was sent in the green box to protect John when he most needed it from Jack, but also in the flash [s] Jack: ascend we see Jack use the green box to kill the black queen to get his powers. Does this mean that if Jade never sent the green box the session would have went smoothly, as Jack would have never ascended?
But if it wasn’t for Liv Tyler taking the tumor to Derse, Dave and Rose wouldn’t have been able to paradoxically created the Green Sun and if the Green Sun didn’t exist then Bec wouldn’t have existed which means he wouldn’t have lead Jade to John’s gift which lead to her befriending John. And if she never befriended John and the others she wouldn’t have been able to play the game.
So forgive me if I am wrong, but the point of Sburb/Sgrub is to create a universe right? So that would mean the trolls are done with their game, meaning they should be able to populate their universe with humans, the humans being John, Rose, Dave, and Jade. Than they sort of cheated by creating the scratch and made the pre-scratch kids, who are apparently relatives to the Beta kids, so up at this point The Trolls have beaten the game, they created the new universe, populated it with humans, then the Humans cheated and created half-universe based off of their universe, which is why its so similar to their session. Then the Alpha kids were created, and that is homestuck up to this point? Once again sorry for sending this through fanmail, this was too large for the askbox to handle.
The trolls beat the game but they never got to claim their prize because Bec Noir destroyed the door.
And the Beta kids didn’t create a new universe. The Scratch changes the universe, it doesn’t make a new one.

Yes, if you go back to those panels the hands will be there. This is the first retconning done in the series.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but if every game session requires one Time player and one Space player, then why is that not the case for the Alpha kids session?
The Alpha kid session was meant to be an 8-players session. Once the Beta kids arrived Jade and Dave became their Time and Space players.
Ok, quick question: why do unsuccessful sessions exist? If the players do something wrong (like leaving the sprites unprototyped, losing to the Black King or fucking up in general), shouldn't that be just another doomed timeline? By extention, every session should bring to the creation of a new universe if the alpha timeline is followed, no?
The Alpha timeline includes failed sessions. They fail because they are meant to.
do we have any proof that Equius is actually dead in the new timeline? We only saw Nepeta's body and all of the horse puns insinuate him. Hussie made the horse puns to make us think Equius would still be alive and showed the “leader” in a silohette with a question mark to allude to Equius’s Void aspect. But Hussie wanted us to think that so Vriska(Vriska) being the one to return would be a bigger shock.
IS SBURB/SGRUB in anyway distributable in the mass market in any of the universes? If so, does it cost more than or the same as any other PC game made in 2009?

and the Alpha kids played a pre-release Alpha version of the game.
Hopefully this counts as a decent question; Why is the bard so often considered a "Wildcard class" couldnt it just be considered that Gamzee really gets around?
It’s because you never know if the Bard’s powers will help or hinder his group.
Hey, I was looking recently at the conversation where Jade teases John for his choice of internet browser and says he should switch to hers, which I notice has the same name as her denizen. Is this true for all the kids, Alpha and Beta? And what about the trolls?
Bards aren't the only class that like that tho, any class can either help or hinder, gamzee was just insane and fucked shit up due to lil cal, not his class.(totally different anon btw)
But his class was involved. He fueled rage into Terezi which lead to her killing Vriska. He made Terezi hate him which lead to their kismesitude. In his berserk mode he let the rage of other be diminished by terrifying them. You can read the class page on the wiki for more detail but his class was definitely involved. And I know that other people have written longer explanations so you can look for those if you like.
