actually the jasprospap thing is just two teirs because its a sprite being prototyped with a sprite, which just so happened to already be two prototyped. the squared is because the name has to account for all parties involved in a sprite, since one of them already had sprite in the name its shorter to say "sprite^2" than "spritesprite"

In this retconned timeline only Tavros was prototyped in Jane’s kernel sprite so Tavrissprite didn’t happen. Roxy buried GameOver!Rose on Lowas and Jaspersprite dug her up and prototyped her in Roxy’s kernel sprite.

It’s likely that they only became matesprits after sgrub had begun but the details of their relationship and how it started aren’t shown in-comic.

When inanimate objects are prototyped first, they are represented with a symbol. When animate or deceased creatures are prototyped first, they appear as themselves with a ghostly lack of legs, this also applies if they are prototyped second. With the X2 sprite combo it became complex enough for legs to appear. 1: symbol 2: ghost 3(maybe 4?): full body. Simply speculation.
This take on it does make some sense. Hopefully sprite mechanics will be revealed in more detail soon.

Dirk sendificated his head in the past to Jake so he could kiss the head and wake up Dirk’s dream self. This allowed Dirk to get Roxy and Jane and bring them to Jake’s house so they could all enter the game together.

It may be because he’s a sentient creature. Becquerel is sentient and so is Rose so that may be why they’re a full sprite and not a floating circle. The harlequin doll and the crow Dave accidentally prototyped were also both prototyped pre-entry so that may be why they were a floating circle for a while.

Actually the sprite were a circle pre-entry because they still had their kernel. Once entering the kernel hatches and sprite grows its tail. There are certain exceptions for this such as Becsprite being a first guardian and Jaspersprite being double prototyped pre-entry. The Alpha kids’ sprites kept their kernels because they weren’t prototyped. Once prototyped the kernels left which is why Tavrossprite and Rosesprite have their full forms

I was going back to read some old scenes of homestuck and I had some issues because of the retcon stuff so I was wondering if it's still possible to read homestuck with preretcon stuff or is the comic itself altered to only retcon ?
The story in its entirely has changed with little oil and hands spread throughout it. The points that John travels to and messes with stuff have two paths and you can only read the post-retcon path of you have the password from later on in the story.

Because trolls are an insect based race.
Hussie explained on his formspring (before the Summoner was revealed I believe) that trolls gain wings as their godtier because in their culture it's universally accepted that godlike beings would have wings. They grow wings as part of their vision of achieving literal godhood. Humanity does not have a universally accepted idea of what a god looks like and so human players do not change appearance to fit their idea of a god.

I don’t believe he was being controlled, but he spent a lifetime with Cal so I doubt he escaped influence entirely even with his shades. Being influenced by Cal didn’t cause his abusive tendencies as Dirk has been shown to possess a few of them himself and his Cal was empty, but it likely did enhance them and make them worse. However, even if Cal influenced his behavior that still doesn’t excuse the abuse he put Dave through.

Well for starters he literally would beat the shit out of Dave all the time. Dave grew up surrounded by plush puppet porn for pete’s sake. Dave had to hide food in his room. That’s just the first few things to come to mind but there are more.

Rufioh had them too. But the Summoner was definitely revered. He lead a rebellion after all so he had to at least have some type of charisma. I’m sure if he had been a highblood he would have been seen even more as a god figure.

First Guardians are created in Sburb through ectobiology, their purpose being to protect their assigned planet and to oversee its growth.

While John was on Lolar he found an island and on that island there was a transportalizer which brought him to the meteor in the Veil where the found the ectobiology equipment. After this his dream self woke while Prospit was being destroyed so his main body fell asleep in the ecto lab. The Aimless Renegade finds him and puts him on rocket board and he crash lands on Lowas.
On the subject of Mituna and his accident, there's a lot of different headcanons for what he did. So out of curiosity, what do you personally think he did?
I’m partial to the theory that in order to protect his friends he wrote the ~ATH code so that English couldn’t enter the universe and to give his group more time to figure out how to beat him and then was manipulated by Kurloz into blasting the server it was held on into the Furthest Ring so it would be where it needed to be to make a stable timeloop.
Mituna has been said to be lucid around Kurloz so Kurloz could just be fucking with his mind all the time except for when they’re alone together so that he doesn’t tell anyone what Kurloz did.
It's notable that out of the three kid strifes, Bro is the only one who physically hit Dave. John's dad offers him cake and Rose's mom offers her a pony and sips of alcohol, but neither of them try to hit their child. Only Bro did that.

Dirk sent Brobot to “help” Jake become better at fighting but it ended up being an uneven power balance that Jake expressed on several occasions that he didn’t like. Dirk himself said he was trying to make Jake more tough which probably what Bro was trying to do with Dave but it ended up being this abusive bizarre behavior that wasn’t helpful or okay at all. Bro played a bunch of weird mind games with Dave which made him very uncomfortable and Dirk also does this to Jake. So all in all Dirk has some manipulative tendencies that he needs to work on.
wasn't Dirk's Lil Cal the same one as Dave's Bro's Lil Cal, since it was on the meteor with him? So they both could've been at least partially influenced by it, though it's hard to say.
