Caliborn is from the future of the Alpha kids’ timeline, his existence is dependent on them creating a new universe explained by Aranea here. In the Pre-retcon Game Over timeline everyone dies and they never create a new universe so Caliborn never hatches. And yes he was present early in the story before the retcon happened but he was always in the far off future.

Feferi’s lusus was implied to have been killed by a meteor after she released the Vast Glub. She then fell into Feferi’s kernel sprite and was prototyped.
There are three kinds of bad sessions: null sessions, dead sessions, and void sessions. An example of a void session is the Alpha kid’s session. A void session is when nothing is prototyped pre entry. This means the battlefield cannot evolve and grow and the session will go on forever because the Black and White king’s war will be an eternal stalemate.

The beta trolls are not clones of the alpha trolls. Karkat created 24 trolls during his ectobiology. Trolls are usually conceived when the Mother Grub combines adult troll reproductive liquids and then lays many eggs all at once. Karkat may have had to do a similar process but with paradox slime for 24 people.

Yes, you can ascend to godtier if your dreamself is dead, you just have to use your Sacrificial Slab and not your Quest Bed. Everyone who has gone godtier has reached the top of their echeladder but it has not been stated outright if it is a requirement to ascend.
A session needs one Time player and one Space player.
The scratch is a release of temporal energy that causes Skaia to switch which portals the meteors go through. It results in a reset universe and a switched set of players. The scratch was always necessary for the alpha timeline so it didn’t affect any other timelines.
The Pre-scratch trolls and the Ancestors originated from the same wrigglers just like how the the Alpha kids and the Beta guardians are the same baby.

Sollux felt both flushed and pitch for Gamzee because of his duality theme (although his initial feelings may have been caliginous since Gamzee just killed two of his friends). Terezi felt caliginous for the same reasons. Karkat felt pale because he wanted to pacify Gamzee to calm him down. Gamzee did accept Karkat’s pale solicitation. Gamzee manipulated Terezi into killing Vriska possibly so that he didn’t have to deal with her himself.
