Dirk, Roxy, Jane, and Jake are clones of their pre-scratch selves while John and Jade were made with Jake and Jane’s ectoslime and Rose and Dave were created by mixing Roxy and Dirk’s ectoslime
(Sorry for the bother and if this is annoying to deal with but) why do the humans consider themselves to have a one-way biological relationship (alpha kids --> beta kids) rather than the trolls do with dancestorship, seeing the other as both their ancestor and descendant (beforus kids <---> alternia kids)? Aren't they ectobiologically the same, despite the trolls' different manner of breeding?
Yes, this is a cultural matter. In troll culture they don’t have parents, there is no direct line of biology for them to follow. It also has to do with troll genetics, while it’s easily seen that each beta kid is made from two of the alpha kids with the trolls it’s more difficult. We don’t know the specifics of the trolls’ ectobiology but it’s entirely likely that each one of Meenah’s group of trolls could have been made through a mixture of three trolls, or even a mixture of all the trolls with the one that contributed the most genetics sharing the symbol. There are other theories about troll ectobioloy out there but overall troll biology is much more complicated then human biology.

the wiki says that in the B2 universe, the roles are reversed (dave and rose are roxy and dirk's parents, poppop and grandma english are jake and jane's parents). it's under "ectobiology", click "post-scratch" above the diagram at the bottom
They are their “parents” socially since they arrived earlier, but not genetically. Like how the Ancestors are technically the spawn of Karkat’s group.
also didn't karkat say he didn't remember which group he created first in the lab?? so they have no way of knowing which group would be the ectobiological "ancestors" and which would be the "descendants"
On this page Doc Scratch states that Meenah’s group were “to become the ancestors of the twelve they formerly regarded as theirs, and this twelve would be chosen for glory.” This is what happened with the Beta kids when they scratched as well. The descendants played but didn’t succeed so they scratched and their “parents” took their place as the players in the new session. So Meenah’s group are the descendants of Karkat’s group and Karkat and his friends are paradox clones.
So I was reading a part where Roxy is making a ball of spikes to repopulate the troll population and help the condesce take over because if not Jade would kill her over and over again. But. Wouldn't she die completely because it would be just and heroic? The justice would be her preventing the race from it's population, and the heroic part would be her not letting the condesce have an army.
A godtier dies permanently is the death is Just or Heroic, not both. Roxy would revive if she was tortured by Grimbark Jade because she’s not evil so killing her wouldn’t be Just and getting your organs teleported out repeatedly isn’t very Heroic. The Condesce wanted Roxy to summon the Matriorb because the troll race is endangered and she doesn’t want them to die out completely. Also, she wants a new population to rule over.

The Vast Glub is a shock wave of psychic energy that was released by Feferi’s lusus before she died. It killed the entire troll race except for the Condesce and the eleven troll heroes who made it into the Medium before it was released. Karkat didn’t get Sollux into the Medium in time and he died. Feferi revived him afterwards.
Are the rings of life and void the same ring? If not how was the ring of life created? I know the void ring came from the alpha kid's session but I can't remember where the life ring came from

Typheus knew another John from the pre retcon time line would bring his Lowas with him into the post retcon timeline. Also, Jade spending three years by herself without John or Davesprite was the price Typheus warned would happen. Because John was able to edit the timeline himself his friends had to feel the same loss he did.
