Hey so I've been re-reading HS this week and something just occurred to me: all of the kids had a copy of the Sburb, but Dave lost his copy (the whole crow, sword, window thing) and ended up stealing his bro's copy to connect. So, my question is this: by the fact that bro also had a copy of the game, does that mean that he was supposed to play the game too? Or was it just the game's way of making sure that Dave had a copy?
It was the game making sure Dave had a copy as Dave losing his was the game’s was of making sure Jade had a copy.
I saw one of your posts where you said that Meenah's group was made after Karkat's group by Karkat, but I also remember that Meenah's group is the alpha group, so I was wondering if I had been wrong all along about alpha being the first ones created by the ectobiologist. So I want to ask, what does alpha and beta actually mean?
Alpha and Beta for the Kids means the type of Sburb they played. The Beta kids played the Sburb Beta and the Alpha kids played the Sburb Alpha. But their is not Sgrub Beta and Alpha there is only Sgrub. The Beta trolls started being called the Beta trolls due to there connections with the Beta kids. The Alpha trolls are called the Alpha trolls out of consistency. As Calliope said “From alpha to beta, then beta to alpha”
do you guys ever have to research stuff before answering? or are you a bit like me where you kind of remember everything just by reading and picking it up.
Some things I don’t need to research, some things I like to look up just to make sure I’m right, and some things I don’t know and have to search mspa high and low to find the answer
Does prototyping a kernel Sprite require something dead/dying? (nana's ashes, the crow, jasper, dream jade, the trolls lusii) or is that something unique/a coincidence?
Sprites have an affinity for the dead or soon to be, but it’s not a requirement
Do we have any idea how long it was between the vast glub & the condesce v. Handmaid fight? Was this when the Condesce self-experimented to have all the troll powers?
hi i wanted to know, how did the jack from the alpha's session became lord jack? i know it was because of cal but, what did this transformation imply exactly?
Yes that the one. We learn that Lil Cal’s mad mojo is in his eyes.
I'm a little confused on this. If a cherub's ghost was to possess the Ring of Life, would it be able to inhabit its old body again or would it have a 100% new body all for itself?
During John's conversation with Dave and Karkat after fixing timeline problems using Terezi's passwords, John mentions he had a catch up conversation with Dave in a grassy place before he changed the timeline? At what point would they've had that conversation with all the crazy zapping around and fighting? Thank you so much!
For an explainatiin, the reason a ring of life cherub doesn't go back into its body is because the ghost itself is what becomes alive. That's why losing the ring makes you a ghost again. Maybe helps characters that were blown to bits or crushed.
Just a sudden idea I got, if Jane were to heal Calliope back to life with her lifey powers (with the ring on or not), would that make her alive-alive for real? Do you think it might happen?
That is an interesting idea, I really don’t know. Possibly?
Does your dream self have to be alive to become a god tier? If so, how is Jake a god? Wasn't his dream self killed because Clubs Deuce force-fed him peanuts?
are there any canonically or hinted asexual characters
I think John’s been hinted at as asexual but he’ll never truly realize it because he is just the “Straight Guy”™ and will never really question his sexuality. But maybe that’s just me.
what happens to someone if they are sleeping and their dreamself dies? does it become dangerous for them to sleep?
If they go to sleep with a dead dreamself, their “dream phantom” shows up in the furthest ring. Which used to be terrifying (as seen in [S] Jade: Wake Up) before the dreambubbles existed.
