Why does Gamzee's chronology make no sense?
It makes perfect sense. He goes through the timeline normally then he either gets dumped in Earth’s ocean and waits millennial or is sucked into the Black Hole that Lord Jack’s head imploded into. Either way he ends up way in the future on Earth where he sets up the Cali twins’ living quarters. Then he enters with Caliborn and just chills with him.
Pre-retcon Gamzee did jump forward in timeline to create the Alpha kids’ sprites and enjoy some Trickster revelry though.

Dude, I’m not hating on Act 1, I enjoy Act 1, I do, I just didn’t the first time I read it.
The first time I tried reading Homestuck I gave up before Act 1 was over because I found it confusing and uninteresting. I’m not saying Act 1 was bad or that you should skip it, I’m saying that if you find it boring, don’t stop, keep reading, that’s not what the whole story is like. Reading Act 1 again after finishing Homestuck when it made sense and I understood all the coding jargon and sylladexes and shit, A+, really good.
In conclusion, Act 1 is just a tough read, that’s all I was saying my dude.
