Yeah, they stayed 5000 years in the future where the kingdoms were already established and they didn’t really have to do anything. That’s why we see the paper the says “creators return at last” because the civilizations were waiting for them to show up again.
So do we know what will happen to the kids that get sucked into the house juju during the fight with caliborn or will that just be cleared up in the epilogue
As of right now we don’t know if they emerge when Vriska used the juju or if they really are stuck there. It will most likely be cleared up in the epilogue.

Terezi went back to Paradox Space to find Vriska. From the way her and John were discussing it, it seems she can come and go freely.

Nope, Caliborn’s timeline has always been obnoxiously far ahead of the kids. It may have been years for John since their last encounter but for Caliborn is was likely only a few weeks or months.

How does the universe naming thing work? There's the first troll universe with meenah and the gang, then the second one with vriska and friends, then the john and pals, then the roxy and crew, and now this last one. Why is it universe c? Why not e?
Pre-scratch and Post-scratch take place in the same universe just different parts of it.
The Trolls were Universe A. Meenah’s group was A1, Karkat’s was A2. The Humans were Universe B. John’s group is B1 and Roxy’s is B2. The New Universe is therefore C.

So I started following Homestuck four years back, at the start of high school for me, and sometime in 10th or 11th grade, I didn't keep up with it anymore. I've collected bits and pieces by all the posts in-tag, since I can't remember exactly where I left off. My question posed though is: should I feel bad for not understanding so much? For example, I don't understand jujus and their functions even though I was still reading when they were first mentioned... I just feel bad for not understanding
Dude it’s a story, a piece of fiction, like there is no problem in not knowing literally everything about it. Plenty of people don’t understand how things work or what they are in homestuck, explaining that shit is like 95% of what this blog does. So no, you shouldn’t feel bad.
