(Woah, that was a lot of shipping drama... This kind of shit is what makes a lot of Homestucks kinda back off from the fandom, I hope you're okay,, your blog is actually incredible, you deserve to be treated better.) And now- allow me to ask something slightly less shippy and more interesting! 1) Did the Echeladder really mean anything? did it have any effect on the game (except god tier level of course)??? 2) What happens to Hearts Boxcars, Clubs Deuce and Diamonds Droog after the Intermission?

1) Not really in the big picture. The Echeladder was a neat thing in the beginning showing our heros progress while showing a few jokes in there, but largely became irrelevant the farther we got in the story

I don’t know if all of these are actual ships, but I’m just gonna list them anyway: DaveRose, JohnJade, DaveDirk, DaveRoxy, RoseRoxy, RoseDirk, JohnJane, JaneJade, AlphaDave/AlphaRose, any of the kids with their Guradrians, Calliope/Caliborn and debatably all of the trolls.

I’ve been trying pretty hard to stick close to canon and evaluate what Homestuck’s been trying to do so far instead of speculating, but let me know if there’s anything you think I missed or didn’t explain well enough or disagree with if you do end up reading this–I love feedback and my aim is honestly just to try to pin down what the comic was going for.

That’s really good! You bring up a lot of points I had never considered before, and framing everything in that view certainly is a better story for Jade than, “too op to use better make everything suck for her”
