How do the Alpha Kids and the Cherubs know so much about the game?

Dirk was awake on Derse for a long time and probably picked up some info from there.  Also I’m pretty sure Roxy and Dirk’s guardians left some kind of information for them but I’m not positive on that. 

And Calliope has a journal that Rose wrote her knowledge of Sburb in.
