Was it the presence of Equius' soul that got Cal so damn ripped?

I’m gonna say no, because Equius wasn’t ripped, given his STRENGTH he obviously had some muscle but he wasn’t nearly as jacked up, beefy as LE is. He may have contributed but I doubt he was the sole reason.
