@ the godtier thing, humans do have figures of superhumans (see the "über mensch" idea, angels, super heroes, anthroanimalistic gods, gods with extra limbs or supersized, gods made of metals and precious stones, and the overall aesthetical paradigm of beauty), so maybe it is singular to everyone, which would mean the kids didn't adscribe to any of those paradigms. That would also explain why Karkat's godtier form hadn't wings; as far as we know, he might have had different blood color though.
